Holiday Bazaar

The 2010 Parish Bazaar will be held on November 14th.

Purpose:

The Purpose of the North American Martyrs Holiday Bazaar is to form a sense of community and family within our parish while raising money to support our parish.

Bazaar Profits:

The Bazaar in recent years has funded the paving of our parking lot, debt reduction (building fund), and school endowment. This year’s profits will help fund our youth ministry, votive candle holders, and continued debt reduction.

Organization:

There are several committees responsible for bazaar planning. Each committee of the bazaar is run by a chair person (or couple) and assisted by a co-chair. Each chair and co-chair position is held for one year. The co-chair of each committee will then become the chair person for that committee the following year.

Our committees include: Raffle, Silent Auction, Games, Prizes, Dining Room, Bake Sale, Religious Items, Clean-Up , Publicity and Chair person/couple.

Participation:

There are many opportunities to help make our bazaar a great success. Volunteer opportunities are available on the planning committee.

Volunteers are needed to assist with set up and work the day of the bazaar in various areas (dining room, kitchen, games, etc.) Donations of food items are vital to the success of our bazaar.

Events:

There are many fun activities included in our parish bazaar. Adults and children alike can enjoy a wonderful meal, adult raffle and a children’s raffle. In addition to the raffle, there is a large silent auction with donations from over 250 businesses! This year we will have a live auction as a new addition to the bazaar! Children can enjoy many fun games including a cake walk, PLINKO, Bingo and much more! A snack bar and bake sale are available for more delicious treats. Religious items are available for purchase (who knew you could Christmas shop at a parish event!).
