Blackboard is an Internet course management system that provides teachers with a secure online environment for sharing information with students and their parents. 

Teachers use Blackboard to post lesson plans, printable worksheets, assignment due dates, classroom information, etc.  Students and their families are not required to use the Blackboard site; it is a supplement to classroom instruction.

The teachers who have Blackboard sites have provided their students with user names and passwords.

If you click on a link, and have the options "Open, Save, or Cancel" you should be able to click on "Open" to view it (you could also Save to your computer, and then view it).

If you do not have PowerPoint installed on your computer,  you can view PowerPoint Presentations (.ppt)  with  Microsoft's PowerPoint Viewer.

If Word documents (.doc) are posted, and you do not have Microsoft Word, you can download Microsoft's Word Viewer .

You can view Excel worksheets (.xls) with Microsoft's Excel Viewer .
