PTO News

Thanks so much to those of you who have given consideration to joining the PTO board next year!  We are still looking for families to consider serving.  We have had some questions about the commitment.  PTO is a three year term with monthly meetings (1hr) during the school year.  Each chair has activities they are responsible for, usually spread out throughout the school year.  For example, the Athletics chairs (2 families) are primarily responsible for home volleyball and basketball (boys and girls) games, plus an athletic banquet or other celebrations as determined by the PTO chairs and school staff.  Each chair has months where they are not directly responsible for anything other than attending the monthly meeting!

PTO has been a great opportunity to get to know other parents and staff, give back to the school, support our kiddos education, help shape events, and model volunteerism to our children.  Kids of PTO families love helping behind the scenes when they can – whether that’s helping with concessions, bagging prizes or sticking dumdums in a tree for Mayfair, or subtly making treat suggestions.  🙂  Life with kids is always busy, but PTO can be a great way to get involved.

March is a particularly quiet month for PTO, but we do have another Martyrs Night Out coming up!  Please join us at the Fallbrook Dairy Queen on Tuesday, March 24th from 5-8pm.  We are approaching $2,000 from these MNOs!  Thank you to everyone who participates!!  (Previous MNO proceeds: Runza – $534.01, Raising Canes – $256.54, Chick-fil-A – $280, Freddy’s – $70.41, Panda Express – $265.60, Runza – $488.15)

Lastly, we invite you to attend the College and Career Planning Night next week, as emailed by Ms. Fairbanks. There will be lots of great information shared and we hope to see you there!

If you would like to serve on or nominate someone to join the PTO board for the 26-27 school year, please send us an email at namschoolpto@gmail.com!
