North American Martyrs Altar Society

The Altar Society of North American Martyrs is a service organization, which strives to give glory to Almighty God through prayer and service to our parish community.

The Altar Society financially provides aesthetics for the altar and sanctuary with the purchase and maintenance of altar linens, surplices and cassocks. We provide altar wine and bread; candles and special prayer books for the celebration of Mass and other religious activities.

We strive to provide for the parish’s spiritual, educational, and social needs. We contribute to the Parish Building Fund and community organizations including Catholic Social Services, Birthright, Pius X prom night and St. Vincent de Paul. We finance and help with special receptions for RCIA, Confirmation and First Holy Communion.

We provide and serve meals following funeral Masses.

We organize and support the parish library and adoration chapel library for our parish.

We raise money through several fund raising activities:

Annual Bazaar
Bake Sales
Donuts and coffee after Mass
Lenten Friday Night Desserts
Food booth during Craft Show

All women in the parish are members of the Altar Society.
Dues are $15.00 per year
