Meet Our Team

Fr. Nathan Hall

Pastor

Coming most recently from Hastings, and following on several years teaching high school, Fr. Hall is overjoyed to be the new pastor here at Martyrs. Fr. Hall was an engineer for a few years before hearing the call to the priesthood. He was also in a rock band and still performs from time to time. Fr. Hall does not love sweets, but he does love teaching the faith, counseling souls, and being the pastor here at Martyrs.

Fr. Joseph Wahlmeier

Fr. Joseph Wahlmeier

Assistant Pastor

Fr. Wahlmeier grew up near Hastings, NE as the eleventh of fifteen children. After graduating from St. Gregory the Great Seminary, he spent four years in Rome completing his theological training, working on an advanced degree in biblical theology, and getting to know the Church Universal. He’s passionate about Scripture and languages and enjoys dabbling in painting and board games. But mostly he enjoys being a priest at Martyrs.

Mark Heffley

The DAFF-E

Mark is a proud husband and father of five little ones. After attending UNL and St. Greg’s Seminary, he went on to get a MA in theology at Franciscan University and is currently finishing a PhD in theology at Ave Maria University. Nothing gets Mark more jazzed than sharing the faith with others, talking theology with fellow nerds, and reading good books with a cup of coffee or a cold beer. And he loves being the Director of Adult Faith Formation and Evangelization at Martyrs.
